Nick is an adult male Welshie who was found in a Pennsylvania shelter in early January 2007. He was visited and identified as a possible Welshie by a long-time breeder and a former president of the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of America. Once this step was completed, he was quietly and privately “adopted” from the shelter and brought in to the WSSCA Rescue program.
Nick was brought to the shelter by his owner who reported that he no longer had time for Nick. The owner had been keeping Nick outside in his backyard and Nick only saw the inside of the garage on cold nights. This caused Nick’s coat to be in such poor coat condition when he arrived at the shelter that he had to be body shaved and bathed. He will be much prettier when his coat grows back in.
